Brand creation for a barbershop in Doha.

Gentlemen enjoying the grooming experience was a priority for Clearcut. They aimed to create a barbershop that is much more than a place to get groomed. Clearcut wanted to create a barbershop you can trust, a place of quality, a place you look forward to visiting, and to build a community. The brand needed to reflect that.

I set out to provoke feelings of barbershops in their prime. A brand that portrays the values of old school barbershops, with a touch of modern elegance. This is reflected in the typography, colour palette, images and messaging used. The icon pays homage to Qatar, the palm tree created to give the feel of razor sharp blades.

As well as boasting incredible barbers, Clearcut Barbershop plays host to live musicians, exhibits art and photography from local artists, customers can listen to their favourite vinyls, and get served their favourite coffee. All building on that sense of community and trust, which the brand reflects every step of the way.

Clearcut is now recognised as one of Qatar’s leading barbershops, expanding to three shops, with more planned to open.
