New eSports tournament with the attitude of its gamers.

Global Games set out to create a world class eSports tournament that would include some of the globes leading games, DOTA2, CSGO, eFootball PES Series, and Street Fighter V, and be held in Qatar.

Adrenalin, fast thinking, and faster talk, an eSports tournament that puts the gamers’ attitude at the centre of the brand. A brand that speaks to gamers and fans alike, while also giving a nod to Qatari culture.

Having researched traditional Qatari ‘sport’, a connection was quickly found between Falconry and the world of eSports. A closer look at the prized Qatari falcons revealed beautiful patterns on their wings. Inspired by this pattern, energetic and dynamic forms were created for the key component in the brand language. These forms also depict strategy, swift movement, and sharp thinking.

The idea behind the GG logo was that of two worlds coming together, a world of reality and a world in which the gamers find themselves immersed in when playing.

The brand is supported by a simple yet vivid colour palette that is reinforced with strong, bold typography and imagery. The gamers themselves play a key role in the brands tone of voice. No matter of creed, colour, physique or status, everyone is equal and the brand brings their attitude to the fore, after all… It’s their world.
