Global Sentinels Movement stands guard and defends the interests of people and the planet.

Global Sentinels Movement is an NGO set up to stand guard and defend the interests and health of people and the planet. Working to secure progress towards, and accountability against the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) for 2030 set out by the UN.

Global Sentinels are building a movement that is dynamic, and creative. Informing citizens of the world who care about global issues and solutions, giving them a platform to connect to likeminded people and to take organised, strategic action that drives positive change, personally, socially, and politically.

Standing up against governments and big corporates, the brand needed to stand out and be noticed. No nonsense, global, bold, caring, rebellious, and organised.

The colour palette of black for protection and yellow for optimism sets the tone, with it’s energetic combination. Accompanied by a combination of typography that is bold, rebellious, and an informative. Greyscale photography of global citizens is at the forefront along with thought provoking imagery of issues around the globe.

The logo is created by three forms, combined to create a watching eye, reminding governments and big business that they are being watched amid their promise to adhere to the UN’s 17 SDG’s.

The iris of the eye depicts a sentinels shield, a protector, the circular form symbolises a glowing globe with 17 rays to reflect the 17 SDG’s. These forms are also used as separate components through the brand language, with the structured line-work underpinning organisational qualities of the NGO. The combination of all brand elements result in a strong, identifiable brand.
